Working as a medical administrative assistant has helped with my interpersonal skills by allowing me the ability to speak with individuals from various walks of life. I am grateful for the skills that being an MAA has taught me.

Jamika Austin CCMA, CMAA

Before I started working as a phlebotomist, I worked as a secretary on a hospital floor. Working as an MAA was one of the rewarding careers that helped me become a phlebotomist!

Tammy Chamblin CPT

Before completing my degree in engineering, I worked as a front-desk operator for the Department of Public Health for many years. As a medical administrative assistant, I was able to provide genuine customer service to all of my patients, discuss payment plans, and gain a better understanding of how public and private insurance works. Becoming a CMAA is a wonderful career in healthcare.
